Oscar Ramirez has named close to a full-strength side for tonight’s match. This is close to how Los Ticos will line-up for their World Cup opener, with Duarte, Bolanos and Ruiz perhaps the three who would push for a spot in the XI against Serbia. It’s a big chance for Venegas up top, as he takes Ruiz’s usual place in joining Campbell and Urena.
As promised from Southgate, it’s an England debut for Liverpool full-back Alexander-Arnold, who starts opposite Rose on the flank. Vardy and Rashford form a partnership up top with Kane on the bench tonight, while Butland gets the nod in goal. Delph and Loftus-Cheek have the chance to make an impression in midfield as well tonight, as they’re set to start alongside Henderson.
